This January we are marking a milestone in our long history and heritage as a trusted provider in the communities we serve. We move into the future as CHI Saint Joseph Health.

Our new name reflects our strong link to a robust nationally recognized health system – Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) – with the vast scale, scope and resources to improve health and lower costs. Our new name also recognizes the community’s strong ties to the Saint Joseph name.

While the brand is new, it also brings us back to our roots in Catholic health care. We will continue to work to find new and innovative ways to create healthier communities, especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

You help bring the brand to life
Much more than a name or a logo, a brand is an impression made on anyone who comes in contact with it. Managing the brand is a responsibility we all share. As a leader you will be a model for employees on how to live out the brand.

We created a suite of communications to help you better understand and answer questions about the new master brand. Refer to the informational handouts, FAQs and a list of our new communications tools.

Additionally, you can find more information and resources on our brand center, including templates (e.g., agenda, letterhead and PowerPoint), and find answers to your frequently asked questions. Learn how to appropriately change your email signature, access new logos, order stationery and business cards, and more. This Quick Reference Guide is a great starting point.

Our transition to CHI Saint Joseph Health will take time, but you will begin to see signs of change now. New name badges have been distributed and a new online “pop-up” store is ready for you to order new logo wear and promotional items (learn more).

In the coming months we’ll install new signs and update patient materials. We will notify you well in advance of the transition to new email addresses (janesmith@chisaintjosephhealth.org, for example). All of these efforts will help us bring the new master brand to life.

New logo reflects energy, diversity, mission
The new name and new logo are the most outward signs of our new brand. A strong, vibrant graphic representation of who we are as an organization is important to convey our energy, vision and mission.

As part of CHI, we have a new symbol in our logo. The image is a guiding star and cross — four shapes that come together to create a visual representation of the organization’s passion around its common mission to create healthier communities.

The varying shapes of the symbol signify the diversity of CHI and exemplify the seamless integration of CHI Saint Joseph Health with the national health system and partner organizations across the nation. Closer to home, each hospital facility has a strong heritage in the communities they serve and will retain those local names while being a part of the CHI Saint Joseph Health system.
