As we continue to build a culture of appreciation, recognition and accountability, we are pleased to kick off our newly revised and upgraded employee recognition site, called Spirit of Appreciation, this week. This is one more way we want to recognize your efforts to make CHI Saint Joseph Health successful.

You play a big role in making this Spirit of Appreciation a success. You will receive an invitation this week to sign up for the program; if you do so before Aug. 22, your name will go into a drawing for 40 points to spend on items in the catalog.

This new recognition program is more than just a rebranding. We listened to your feedback in the Performance Culture Assessment about the need for recognition and where we focus our resources. This new site is a renewed effort toward a stronger culture of open communication, empowerment and improvement.

Recognition shines a light on your hard work to make CHI Saint Joseph Health successful. Leaders can recognize their team for achieving goals, visitor satisfaction, financial impact and more. Employees can recognize peers for a job well done. You accumulate points to spend on items in the catalog, which can range in “price” from 20 points to hundreds of points. Check it out.

Don’t worry; if you have points in the old system, you will still have them in the new Spirit of Appreciation. There will be two more random drawings for 40 points each – for those who send their first recognition between July 29 and Aug. 29, and for those who add an avatar/set up their profile between Aug. 5 and Sept. 5.

These rewards are a tangible recognition of the efforts you put in each day to make CHI Saint Joseph Health the health care provider of choice for the communities we serve. Moreover, we hope this program illustrates how we appreciate your dedication to our mission and our core values.
