Labor Day: Remember to Take Time Off

CHI Saint Joseph Health

Employees in non-volume sensitive areas will be taking off work Friday, Aug. 30, and Monday, Sept. 2, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

Labor Day, the unofficial end of summer, is one of CHI Saint Joseph Health's observed holidays. This means all non-volume sensitive areas will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2; employees will use their holiday time-off bank to enjoy the day. Additionally, employees working in non-volume sensitive areas are required to take an additional flex day on the prior Friday, Aug. 30. This will allow for an extended summer weekend to celebrate, rest and rejuvenate.

As always, you can refer to the 2019 holiday/flex time calendar for more information and to plan future days off. Please ensure you follow the appropriate request for time off procedures for your department or location.

A special thank you to employees in critical care areas who are working the holiday weekend. Thank you for your continued service and dedication to our patients and community.
